What we hold to.

My Home Church is non-denominational, Charismatic, Spirit-filled, and Pentecostal in expression. Below is a brief summary of the core doctrines.

In progress

A full statement of faith is being finalized.

What follows is a brief outline. An expanded version with Scripture references and worked-out wording will appear here once the elder council has finalized it.

Seven topics

What we stand on.

A brief outline

  • Scripture

The Bible is God's inspired Word. Sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments — the foundation for teaching and life.

  • God

One God revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Creator and Saviour.

  • Jesus Christ

Fully God and fully man. Virgin-born, lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily, ascended, and will return.

  • Holy Spirit

Active today the way He was active in the book of Acts. Baptism in the Spirit, gifts of the Spirit, fruit of the Spirit — for the believer, the church, and mission.

  • Salvation

By grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. New birth, discipleship, growth into the likeness of Christ.

  • The Church

The body of Christ, a multi-generational community of believers. Believer's baptism by immersion, the Lord's Supper, worship, discipleship.

  • The Return of Christ

Jesus will return visibly and bodily. Until then — mission, discipleship, and care for our neighbour.
